time will tell could be today, tomorrow, or 2wks
== == Theoretically, as long as you are past the point where the fetus is viable, active labor can begin any time in any pregnancy, no matter how much you are dilated or effaced. This means you could go into active labor in four minutes, four days, four weeks, etc. There's really no way to tell.
It could be later today it could be 3 weeks from now. Just because you are dilated to something doen'nt mean labor is anytime soon...sorry. I have been dilated to a 3 for 2 weeks now :(
True labor will not usually stop. Labor that stops is, by definition, false labor. False labor is common, especially in a second or third (or fourth, etc.) pregnancy. These contractions, however, are useful in that they help prepare the cervix for labor by softening it, thinning it out, and dilating it. First time moms often begin labor with a long, closed and thick cervix; women who've had a baby before will usually have a softened, somewhat dilated cervix when they start. It's hard to predict when any woman will go into labor. Contractions may be off and on for days before real labor begins. Eat, stay hydrated, and get as much rest as you can until it does.
Sorry, it is impossible to determine when the spontaneous onset of labor will occur. The norm is the span of time between 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after the given due date. Every pregnancy is different, therefore one woman may go into labor with minimal evidence of cervical change while another woman might be very dilated and effaced for weeks before her labor begins. Pregnancy is our first lesson in patience as parents.
Well, they told me the same thing. I didn't go into labor until two weeks later. It just depends on how well YOUR labor goes.
When your contractions are five minutes apart.
C-sections are scheduled to be done before labor begins. Contractions can cause many complications in a cesarean delivery. If labor is stalled and an emergency c-section is required, the dilation is not relevant.
you would be in labor. not hard labor, but still labor. Everyone is going to progress at different rates from this point for some women it will be an hour or two and for some women it could be days or even a week or two. Every pregnancy in every woman will be different.
I am also 1cm dilated and 80% effaced...1 week ago I was 1 cm dilated and 70% effaced. It is different for everyone...Although my DR. said the norm was 3 days after you lose your mucus plug...good luck
anytime now. GOOD LUCK ?
The baby can drop in labor. It is always not easy to distinguish when the baby drops. I have had 3 children and never knew when they dropped I only knew when labor kicked in.
Could be hours to days to weeks. Everyone is different. You will probably start active labor within 24 hours. There is no stopping labor at this point.
