∙ 15y agoThe healing time of bruises cannot be reduced. Brusing is caused by vascular leakage of red blood cells into the surrounding tissue. Creams and remedies touting decreased healing time have no research to substantiate such claims. In fact, studies have disproven the effectiveness of many claimed remedies including the homeopathic treatment, Arnica.

Here is a list of the color of the bruise, from worst to best:
- purple
- brown
- blue
- green
- yellow
Even If you have a purple bruise, then it's not that bad. The worst thing to do to a bruise is to touch it, especially pushing on it. leave it alone, and it will heal in a couple of days. If there are other bad signs, go see your doctor, or if they are horrible, call 911!
