If you have a male and female and are worried about it, I've heard that you would hear a lot of rustling around.
Just let them do it themselves they will have babies and mate if they want to but you should not force them to have babies because 90 percent of female guinea pigs don't live through having babies mine had 2 females and she lived through it hope this helps!
They really just mate how people do.
It depends how long they been in laybor for if they at the startof pregnancy thell act less lively act more hungry thirsty and lazy if their in the middle they will hungry alot more and thirsty but they kay want to be hold so they may feel a ottos stress if their cuming to the end ish then they will not let u touch them if u try to their bond to bite u u will also see if u fill their water bottle up fully give it 2 her wen ur going to bed wake up in the morning ull see it's nearly all gone but they will be less bright more lazy and alot thirsty and hungry I've got a gp called sweetie she's a Rex brewed she perfect she does not sqeak well she does wen we leave the room and she on her own XD it's so cute she just sits were she's put and fall alseep yep don't worry she's not I'll it's her and gives u kisses she lovely and cute. I've seen this before. If the female is in heat, then she will go to a corner, crouch down very low, raise her behind and start to wiggle it side to side. she could also make a small grunting noise while doing this. This is simply to tell the male that she's in heat. If she's not in heat then she could either:
1) Stay where she is and not do anything while the male is mounting her.
2) Run all around the cage to try and get away from the male
3) Nip the male and chatter her teeth telling him to back off (This is what one of mine did until she just gave up).
when theyre actuallly giving the birth, most likely to lay down and look like they are spazzing out. but what they do when they are just pregneat, they just lay down for a few days until they give birth. :)
well just like any other guinea pigs they can be and are allowed to mate
no
Yes, guinea pigs must mate to produce offspring.
well guinea pigs will mate and make themselves but its really just called nature
No time at all. They do not really bond with other guinea pigs, so when their mate dies it does not affect them at all.
Sometimes rabbits will try and mate with guinea pigs no matter what sex they are. However the rabbit cannot impregnate the guinea pig because it is a different species.
Just as much as humans.
Yes, they will if allowed to.
No, they need to mate to have babies.
It's unheard of.
Nothing. But she wont mate while she is pregnant. Guinea pigs dont mate unless they are on heat.
guinea pigs go into heat, they go through the cycle but do not have a period (bleed).
