It all depends on how far you got in high school, and how intelligent you are. If you have completed half of the 11th grade with decent grades, it should be pretty easy. Everyone is different, however. More than 30% of high school GRADUATES fail the GED when it is given to them. If you received extra help in school, you probably need to study quite a bit to pass. Do NOT assume the test is easy. There are books in the library that have pretests in them. Take these before jumping into things. There are adult education centers in your area that assist with GED tutoring to help you before you take the test. The classes are often free. If you are especially weak in a certain subject, it might be best to study that more, since you need to pass all exams (not the total average) in order to get your GED. For help on GED test materials, GED pracitce test, GED testing location, fees, and information you need is just a phone call away. Call 1-800-62-MYGED (1-800-626-9433) to find your local GED Testing Center. The center can tell you: * Whether you can take the GED Tests * Where to find the Official GED Practice Tests * Where to find a GED instructional program * How much it costs to take the tests * When the tests are given * Other useful information

it depends- if you know what you're doin than it shouldn't be that hard.

It's mostly common things that you can learn as you get older. I dropped out of school one month into grade nine, and took the GED test when I was eighteen without studing. I passed everything except the math (my worst subject). After that I went to the local Tech college, they gave me practice packets for the math, and I later passed (they only make you retake the sections you didn't pass, by the way). Mostly people struggle with the Writing section (an essay) and the Math. Study whichever subject you're not good at and you'll do fine. I only had to study the math for a few weeks and I was fine. In short; no, it's not very hard. Though different states have different standards, so keep that in mind.
