India has done a lot to affect the whole world. The base-ten system was invented by Indians. That's why our number system's base is 10. They also invented navigation, which is important because seas made colonization and large-scale goods transportation possible. They invented the Martial Arts, which eventually came to China and then to Japan. They invented many religions, like Buddhism and Hinduism. Columbus would not have found America if he did not set sail for India (which is why the Native Americans are called Indians). They found virtually all the spices we use before anyone else. They were the first to grow cotton, the South's main plant for over 100 years. They invented binary: the base of all computers. There is no way they could run without it. They also were the first to discover that Earth moved around the sun. They invented the oldest language; Tamil. I could go on forever; the Indians are truly a brilliant, influential, and important people.
