I think education has changed dramatically over the past 30 years. For example, we have

more money for textbooks, we have more technology, we can give the students the help
that they need, and we can even afford to enroll them in music, and extra tutoring for the

students that need the extra help.

There are also new and improved, and more advanced college courses for young

adults in college, if their not quite ready, but they are too advanced for the regular

classes. these are all reasons of why our education has improved. Also, most schools now

-a-days have more security programs and anti- smoking/ anti-bullying programs. And we

have more security cameras in the hallways at school and on the bus

Changes in classroom behavior that I have experienced center around a lack of respect for adults. Many of the students I have taught either choose not to, or are not taught to repect the adults around them. Most of this - with the families I have experienced, keep that in mind - is due to a lack of parental support toward the kids, or a tendency to not hold their child accountable for their negative behaviors. I also would like to mention that both parents working or single parenting does not necessarily equal poor behavior in the kids. The behaviors they are taught, the friends they keep and the choices they make must be considered. Sometimes it is the parents/parenting, sometimes it is not.

Hugely. In Australia, for instance, all students in NSW Government High Schools get a laptop in Year 9. This means classes do not need computer rooms but can do research right there.

Also, Interactive Whiteboards (IWBs) mean that teachers can now make their lessons touch-screen.

These technological changes not favoured by everyone, but it is definitely changing the way people teach and learn.
