In the 1950's and 1960's, the younger generation were listening to music and many parents were telling their kids to tone it down and do your homework! These days, talk radio is the dominating medium. The Constitution protects radio as part of the freedom of the press clause, however, talk radio is not taking any responsibility for it's content and how it affects certain populations in the country. Politicians are taking advantage of the contents stated to either anger the masses or just push for their agenda. There are restrictions, very few, but the stations only care about ratings. The Cinema and Television programs (sitcoms and movies) has guidelines what can and cannot be broadcasted. On both ends of the spectrum, the rudeness, the name calling, and possibly lies, are affecting radio. Mind you, only a select few are being affected but it's the politicians who are listening.
