Mag wheels for bmx vary from maker to maker and year to year, older "old skool" mags are much heavier than today's standars. where as some mags of today are cast "layered" in carbon fiber ie much lighter and stronger than conventional soft or hard plastics, but as far as the exact weight, talking less than a pound - 2lbs, which is crap really but in the world of competition .002kg can mean the difference between winner/ loser, and then you can also get into single double triple wall metal rims, which can add substantial weight depending on maker but add great strength the more walls you have to a rim.
on a side note i would use mags, carbon fiber or hard plastic on a freestyle/street bike where as in a bmx i would use triple wall metal rims so you can land harder from big jumps but if you are just using the bike as a cruiser id go with 3 spoke carbon fiber mags, looks sick on old skool bikes ^^ hope this helps
With soap and water. (:

complete metal Mag is an abrieviation of Magnesium Alloy wheels which are generally cast from an alloy of Aluminium and Magnesium, used for its strength and light weight.
There are many materials that mag wheels are built with. They used to be made with magnesium, but are now made with stronger materials like aluminum alloys and plastic.
