-Organizing nursing groups to tend to the wounded
Women contributed in many ways...they helped to build ships for military uses, and were consitdered to be a part of the war. They worked harder than any man would have, building one ship in a week average. They put so much effort into trying to prove that they could do the work just as well as any man, but after the war was over they were kicked aside becoase of all the men coming back from the war. I think that the women of the '40s should have diserved a lot more credit than they were given.
The role of women in WW2 in Britain was of paramount inportance they could do more of the mundane jobs freeing men to do the fighting. women were used in the agricultral industry, used as drivers but manly in the production of arms and a little known fact is that the torque rench was invented for women during WW2 so they couldn't overtighten machanical componants
AnswerAmerican women like their male counterparts entered the second world war en mass. They entered the American workforce and helped produce the resources which ultimately brought Germany and Japan to their knees. Not only was the quantity of resources greater, but so was the quality of the material. Nothing but the best for our boys "over there"! Whenever or whereever they were called upon to help the American women were there. They flew military planes across the country. They were nurses and military folk. They stood tall and the American soldier never doubted that he was supported by the womenfolk back home!Women fought on the "homefront." This meant that in their home countries they would work to support soldiers over seas. Whether they were working in factories to produce bullets, or were selling the war bonds in the streets they were major contributors to war efforts in WWI and WWII.

The role of women was very important because they were not allowed to fight and they were strong enough and brave enough to prove that they could do just as good as men could do.
providing food for the soldiers and to nurse them after encountering injuries

The Women were very important during World War one.
Women and minorities in WW1Women played a vital role in the First World War, performing their 'traditional' tasks such as nursing, while making deep inroads into other industries like munitions production and transport, some women also played an important role in writing letters. Some soldiers who were wounded in battle could no longer read or write so, many women wrote letters and read incoming letters for soldiers who could not anymore. This played an important role in troop morale.
the most important job done by the women during the war was to work in the munitions factory
any job that was free but mainly a medic
the women were important in many ways one is that they treated the wounded. hi Gary
women played a very important role during world war 1. While men were out fighting in the war, women went out of the homes to the mills to help in the production process.
