It is difficult to say. There are many forms of renewable energy (solar, wind, hydro, tidal and wave, geothermal among others) and some are easier to set up than geothermal. A geothermal power plant requires two shafts drilled deep into the earth to get hot water and steam for the plant, and wind and solar may be an easier answer for the future.
