∙ 11y agoIt has been working very well for me. It Stopped my son accessing harmful sites after I had proof he had peeked. This program puts him off for life. Very simple but effective tool. others are blocked and monitoring tools, but this one also blocked video files.

∙ 6y agoMostly pay attention - don't just click on things that look nice. Read what they're saying and see where they will be taking you when you click on them. Hovering your mouse over the link will show you where it's going to go. Don't let yourself get tricked.
Also, never download anything from a website unless you are absolutely positive that it is a reputable site. That's how people get viruses in their computers.
Never give out your personal information like passwords, bank account numbers, or anything else that is not absolutely necessary for a transaction. That's how people steal your stuff and your identity online. If a quiz or website starts asking you for personal details, leave immediately - it's a phishing scam designed to trick you.
If you're shopping, make sure that the website starts with https instead of just http - the -S stands for secure site. There should also be a padlock icon in the URL field.
So basically, it's a matter of knowing what's going on and paying attention to what you're doing.
