He/she will then slide the tinsel (or other material) down the string. He/she will then take both ends to rom a circle, and tie a knot. If he/she is careful and uses enough tinsel, there will be no leftover space, and it will forma complete circle. He/she then has a nice Christmas garland to hang for the holidays.
