RNA contains a ribose sugar that ha oxygen while DNA has deoxyribose sugar which does not have oxygen. DNA has the base Thymine, while RNA has the base Uracil. RNA is single stranded while DNA is double stranded in a double helix.

RNA, ribonucleic acid, and DNA, deoxyribonucleic acid differ in that RNA contains the sugar ribose and DNA contains the sugar deoxyribose. A second difference is that RNA is single-stranded while DNA is double-stranded. A third difference is that RNA contains the nitrogen base uracil in place of the nitrogen base thymine found in DNA.
