How is a bowflex treadclimber different from a stairmaster?

Answer:
A stairmaster only lets you move your legs in an up and down manner while on the "steps." The bowflex treadclimber's "steps" are actually 2 smaller treadmills, one for each foot, that lower and raise as you walk on it so you get the up and down and also the forward and back motion.
