A controlled experiment in Science aims to control all variables excepting the one we want to test, the Independent Variable. We try to keep consistent and similar materials unless its an Independent Variable, make sure that conditions on the outside are properly controlled unless that's an Independent Variable, or any other variable that could affect the results and interrupt the accuracy or consistency of the solution to the experiment, or objective.
