It is applied to soil in a similar fashion that a liquid fertilizer would. The exception being that it usually in the form of a manure tea or fish emulsion. Other things, such as sewage sludge have been used in the past, but are no longer recommended. Heavy metals and the chance of bacterial contamination make this product a bad choice.
