A botnet is a network of "zombie" computers all connected together by a hacker. Zombie viruses are a type of malware that infect a machine and then take it over without the user's knowledge (think of a zombie from the Walking Dead). The virus then distributes itself by means of email or social media sites like Facebook or other sites like MediaFire. The virus creates an email with itself attached to it, and then sends itself to ALL of the people in your contacts book on email or your friends on Facebook.
