You have to bring your case to the courts. If the judge rules that you are not guilty for the charges that were brought against you, AND the judge rules that the charges be expunged - then you can then go through the process of notifying all the various agencies of the court order. The courts do not do this on their own. Those who charged you would get a notice but that does not mean that they will do anything about it. You have to start with the party that charged you and work your way up through the local, county, and state police. Then on to the FBI. All of which may require you to go before the courts again to force them to remove the information from all their various databases. You may also have to clear it with the credit reporting agencies as well, if it is listed (sometimes they do that).
To have a felony conviction expunged just because you want it gone from the records is not going to happen. Only a reversal of the charges, or a pardon by the Governor or the President can do that.
probably. Speak to a lawyer.....................
No, they cannot.
A felony will show up permanently on a background check until or unless it is expunged. You can contact an attorney if you would like to try to get it expunged.
A felony conviction will remain on your 'record' indefinetly, until you have it expunged via Court order.
It depends on what state convicted you. All states have different procedures.
Wrong. A felony conviction IS a felony conviction. You may be able to get the offense expunged (IF Arizona is one of the few states that will restore your civil rights).
Felonies are forever... Expunging a record is very difficult and very costly.
A felony conviction record is forever unless it is expunged. If you qualify for expungement you can have the offense expunged. HOWEVER - an expungement only hides the conviction from the general public. Law enforcement, the courts, and government agencies will always have access to it which would prevent you from ever possessing a firearm.
There are several factors which must be considered to determine whether a conviction can be expunged. The date of conviction and the county are important. You should consult an attorney for legal advise and assistance.
Until it is expunged from your record. You can contact me at 4058439909 if you would like to see if you qualify for an expungement. Gary Wood
Felonies are forever. Meaning you have to report a felony conviction for the remainder of your life. If a judge has expunged your record, then you don't have to report it.
No. Expungement only makes your conviction hidden from the general public - it doesn't make it go away.
