The internet basically promotes laziness. No one really has much to say about people spelling incorrectly, or using improper grammar. The internet also condones other things - for example; violence, by way of video games.
However, the internet also offers some pretty good service. There are a lot of things out there on the internet that can help people that maybe have a harder time with things, like maybe their education. They could look it up on, say, Google or even go to a forum and ask other people about the topic.
I guess it's a bit of give and take. It does well, and it also does bad. Then again, when has that ever been any different in anything in society.
