this depends completely on how it is ingested. smoking burns off alot of the active ingredient, and gives you a light "carbon monoxide high". personally, i vaporize my legal herbal smoke when i use it, which gets a much higher ratio of ingredient to breath. eating plain leaf will accomplish absolutely nothing, and even eating brownies takes hours to kick in and is much more physically focused. sublingually, under the tongue, is probably the way to get the purest ingredient to your brain, but I've not experienced this as of yet.
