All over the earth, icebergs are formed by glaciers that flow into the sea forming an ice tongue. Once the ocean water waves separate the tongue from the glacier, an iceberg is calved into the sea.

Snow is formed when it 'rains' but obviously it is too cold for any precipitation to come out as rain so it comes at like snow like we would have if it was below 0 degrees celsius (32 degrees fahrenheit).
