How late can you take your birth control pill from the usual time? |
[Edit] |
Answer
If you miss one day take two the next day. Not at the same time, but a half day apart or so. Don't take more than two in one day. If you are two days without taking the pill then use a back up for 7 days. I believe that if you miss it for more than 4 days, you should throw that pack out and start again with a new pill pack on the following Sunday. Then use a back up birth control for at least 7 days. So, if you are only a few hours late taking the pill, you should be fine. If you are at all worried, call your doctor and they'll be able to give you a better answer. And use a backup birth control until you are sure your pill is still affective. Hope that helpls!
