There should be an expiration date on the side of the bacon package. It will say 'best before ______.' This doesn't mean it isn't still good for a few days more, it simply means it will taste the best up to that date. Most bacon is smoked/cured and therefore bacon can be stored in a cold fridge for a week or more. If you are unsure smell it and if it has an odd smell then throw it out!

As long as they look and smell good. If there is discoloration or any odor, throw it out. It will depend in so many factors from the quality of your meat and the temperature of your fridge.

If you do not know what rotting meat smells like, you should let an uncooked piece go bad on purpose to get a sense of what you are smelling for generally.
