If your goldfish is diagnosed with fin rot then please either treat it with the appropriate medication, put it into a proper habitat/quarantine tank if it isn't already. If you can not or will not do this then find a humane way to euthanize it. Do not flush it down the toilet as it can spread disease.
It depends on the health of the fish prior to infection and rather the water conditions that caused the problem have been corrected. Anywhere from a few days to over a week, but they will not survive if corrective isn't taken.
yes, but it may kill the goldfish
If your goldfish has red patches, is losing its tail and has a fin clamped shut, this could mean that it is sick. You should take it to a vet if possible.
I would name my black goldfish Fin

yes
Yes, but normally they grow back slowly. However, if fin rot has reached the base of the fin, then the goldfish would be in pain the rest of its life.
A goldfish has about 1,500 bones inside of it.
yes because once i got a betta fish and i put in a tank with a gold fish the first day the betta killed the goldfish so i boult a nother goldfish it did not kill the goldfish because i put them in sepret tanks so that's what you guys should do it because i did it try it people your goldfish will not dy. my goldfish was a fin-nipper that's why it killed it because the goldfish ripped a fin off of the betta so do not put betta fish with goldfish because you never no if the goldfish is a betta.
Because there is no hard or tough tissue inside of the fin to keep a erect shape.
Caudal fin
Use a medicine called Mr. Yellow found in medical stores and pet shops. This cures fin rot.
