How long can a goldfish live in a fishbowl?

Answer:
As long as you are willing to let the poor creature suffer. Goldfish's organs will grow while their bodies are stunted by the small environment of a bowl. Eventually the pressure inside will be too much and your already unhappy fish will die a slow painful death.

Goldfish require at least 10 gallons each, and water temperature kept on the cooler side, if you want a happy fish.
