That depends on a lot of things. If the person is simply cut of from air as in under water or being strangled they may take several minutes to pass out and several more to die. With a full breath they could last for 5-10 minutes. Without one less.
If they are breathing in a low oxygen environment, such as when another gas is present, then the oxygen at some point moves from the blood to the lungs. In that cas they will pass out within 1 minute and die within another minute or two.
