Technically speaking, never, as long as you hold it. There are 2 types of muscles protecting you from urinating.
1. Smooth muscle that is involuntary. Excess or certain amount of urine present in your urinary bladder relaxes this muscle involuntarily.
2. Skeletal muscle that is voluntary. You can control this hence why you can hold the urine from coming out. However, you are consistently aware of this, because it is voluntary and you're voluntarily holding it. This muscle is absent in young children, hence the "accidental" urination. As you grow older, you also acquire some control of your bladder.
Problem is, when you hold your urine or feces too long, you might get really really sick. Examples are infections and kidney failures. These leads to death, especially in the case of kidney failure.

∙ 12y agoI once went 2 months without pooping, but I got enormously obese and developed heart cancer, when i went to the doctor they pumped my stomach to force it out but it is extremely painful. I would recommend pooping every 1-2 days.

∙ 14y agoI once was on vacation in Haiti and I was afraid of using the bath rooms in the house as well as in hotels, so I had to hold it in until I got to the plane 15 days later, I believe that I had experience some discoloration in my urine as well as pain in the lower abdomen and of course, my rectum but, I am a 20 year old. I have no idea, how long I would of held out if I was older, I'm guessing not that much.
