It is what the orthodontist think is best to improve your appearance and health. It also depends on what type of treatment you are looking for for example, the longest but more effective treatment, or the quicker treatment. It also depends on the condition of your teeth. The average brace wear can be from 2-5 years. I only have to wear mine for only 18 months though. =)

^^ That's right but mostly you just get them depending on how messed up your teeth are but mostly its about 2-4 years!

My Dentist said to keep mines for 2 1/2 years. :o)

It really depends on how badly crooked your teeth are. If they aren't that crooked they won't be on for too long, if they are very crooked they will be on for longer. If they are really crooked they usually stay on for 2-3 years. If they go on well with no complications then they will get off sooner. but only by a few months to a year.

It depends on how bad the person's teeth are. I have to say for 2 years. Yes, from 18 months to 30 months.

Braces are mostly kept on for about 2 years but can be longer. It just depends on what you need them for.
