A person will probably die without water after 5 days, but will suffer serious, effects after 3 days. Death by dehydration is a nasty process involving incessent skin irritation, halucinations, and the swelling/ cracking of the tongue. 3 days without water is a serious threat to survival. All of the figures that I have read say 10 to 20 days without food. Obviously, this depends upon your weight to begin with and your state of health before the eating stopped. An overweight adult will last longer because they have more reserves to work from than a thin person.
For a healthy person, three days are the limit for how long one can survive without water. However, with a terminally ill person, the body is weakened and may survive for up to three weeks without water.
This depends on the persons existing state of hydration, but usually would be only a matter of days after removal of a feeding tube.
People, of all ages, can only live 72 hours without water.
It can take a week or less if a person has no food or water. If a person simply has no food, but is getting enough fluids, they can live indefinitely.
The luckiest elderly people are often able to remain in their homes and hire people to do any work needed or family may help and they may need nursing care while at home. Some elderly people will have to go into nursing homes because there is no one in the family that can properly look after them or the elderly person is far too ill to be looked after by family; other elderly people live in condos; may still travel and are active in the community by volunteering. It is a stigmatism that the elderly are of no use in the community or able to look after themselves with some dignity.
5 days
I would say that it is dependent upon the county or state you live in

3 days if he/she doesn't have water and food.
You can't. A person can go over a week without food but without water you will die of dehydration within days.
A person can live minutes without air.
no grass can't live without water
A person can't live without a heart (the organ), but a person does not need empathy or love to live.
you cant live without water or air
An elderly dependent in most cases is a relative such as a parent or grandparent. The elderly dependent must be over the age of 65 and live full time with the person claiming them as a dependent.
