== == That depends on what you're testing for. Urine drug levels are good at room temp or in the fridge for several days. Microalbumin testing is also good for several days in the fridge. However, if the urine is being collected for a routine urinalysis or a microscopic, the urine needs to be tested as soon as possible. Cellular components, bilirubin, and urobilinogen break down quickly after specimen collection, and bacterial growth causes glucose to decrease and protein and pH to increase. In my laboratory we only accept urines for urinalysis within 2 hours of collection if held at room temp, or within 4 hours if kept refrigerated.
Urine that will not be tested within two hours of collection should be kept refrigerated. The type of test that will be conducted on the sample determines the length of time it is considered good, although it generally keeps for several days if refrigerated.
i assume that your mening heat wise and that's not to long but you can get some hot hads at your local store an wrap it around the sample to keep it constant
6 days in a fridge, and 6 months in a vacuum seal container at room temperature away from sunlight.
about two months...
no
A urine sample usually lasts up to 7 days if frozen.
2 weeks
Your urine was presumably stored at approximately 98.6 degrees before you put the sample in the cup. If the temperature is significantly lower, you probably stored the urine somewhere other than your bladder before you provided the sample.
Strep infection is not diagnosed from a urine sample.
This is to preserve the urine sample until its tested.

6 hours, 12 hours in the refirgerator.
If temperature is being used to verify that the urine came from the correct person the temperature of the sample is an indicator that the urine is/may not be a fresh/valid sample...if the temperature is lower than expected.
It is very common for a person who is menstruating to contaminate a urine sample. Of course, contaminated urine samples are very common in general.
Will be trying this next week...will post then
