Two hours maximum. After that time, the meat should be re-heated or refrigerated. If the ambient temperature is very warm, reduce that to one hour.
If it is in sealed container it might keep for a few days all right. Left open I would give it a day at most.

Meats freeze and keep well in the freezer. You can store them over a year if kept frozen. Freezing is the best way to preserve most foods.
I can be left out for quite a while, we mostly leave ours out and it last at least 2 weeks.
