Depending on the power of the bullet and or gun

  • A Pistol shot you could live about a painful hour or two if only 1 bullet.
  • A Assault rifle is different it usually will shot a 2 bullet minimum even if on the trigger for a split second and you could live about 30 minutes to an hour.
  • A MG/Heavy or light will shot 5-10 in a tap of a trigger making big big damage if bullets don't go straight through you stomach well first you were lucky... and second you will live for about 15-30 minutes
  • Now Worst if you were hit with a light MG it will shoot 10-50 bullets a second and will rip through most people if you lived it you would "Bleed Out" in 5-10 minutes
  • A Shot gun well it would probably shoot 15-30 bullets per shot and can shoot at a pretty fast rate and the bullets are usually spread shot and if shot at the stomach a LEAST 1 bullet will hit the heart, and with a dragon breath round you would well get a few holes in you and, you would be on fire.
  • Impossible to live is the dreaded sniper when a soldier moves through a battle field not seeing a single enemy 1 thing goes through their mind... "Sniper" a sniper can shoot from miles away with a good scope and will blow straight through a enemy if you were hit in the stomach it would go right through you and it would well... probably come out the other side and go through 2-3 more people behind you.
  • PS: If you survive the shot you will "bleed out" or, die of the pain... yea ow.

Hope this was Helpful (Cuz it took a long time to type)

  1. Call for help. Call for emergency medical assistance.
  1. Make sure you are safe.

  2. If the victim was shot unintentionally (e.g., while hunting), make sure that everyone's firearm is pointed away from any other person(s), cleared of ammo, safe and secured.
  • If the victim was shot in a crime, try to make sure that the gunman is no longer on the scene. Wear personal protective equipment if available. [2]
  1. Do not move the victim unless you must do so to keep him safe, or to access care i.e.: in a rural or off-road setting.
  2. Act quickly. Time is your enemy in treating the victim. Victims who reach medical facilities during the "Golden Hour" have a much better likelihood of surviving.[1]
  1. Check the A, B, C, D, E's. Assess these five critical factors:[1]

  2. A (Airway) - If the person is unconscious, check to make sure that his airway is not obstructed. The tongue can be a common cause of airway obstruction, and simply turning his head can solve the problem.
  • B (Breathing) - Is the victim taking regular breaths? Can you see his chest rising and falling? If the patient is not breathing, start rescue breathing immediately.

    • How to Perform Rescue Breathing

  • C (Circulation) - Does the victim have a discernible pulse? If the victims does not have a pulse, begin CPR. Control any major bleeding.

    • How to Administer Adult CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)

  • D (Disability/Deformity) - Disability refers to damage to the spinal cord or neck. Check to see if the victim can move hands and feet. If not, there may be an injury to the spinal cord. Deformity refers to things such as compound or obvious fractures, dislocations, or anything that looks out of place or unnatural. These injuries can be worsened by moving him.

    • How to Treat a Spinal Injury Victim

  • E (Exposure) - Make sure that you fully expose the patient so that you do not miss wounds to the armpit, buttocks or other difficult-to-see areas.
  1. Control bleeding. Controlling bleeding is most important thing you can do to save a gunshot victim's life.[1]

  2. Applying direct pressure to most wounds is the best way to control most wounds. Use a pad over the wound and apply pressure directly to the wound. If you have nothing available, even your hand or fingers can be used to control bleeding.
  • Use pressure points in the arm (between the elbow and armpit), groin (along the bikini line), or behind the knee to control bleeding in the arm, thigh, or lower leg.

I can't give you a time because I don't know how bad the gunshot wound is. I would ask your docter. And what were you doing?

Never mind how long to recover. If you survived it, count yourself lucky, go to the hospital and get the bullet removed.
