Nothing major. The meat can keep cooking if it is hot enough, or it can warm the contents of the fridge. Not putting hot meat into a fridge is a holdover from true ice boxes, where the hot meat could melt the ice.
As long as you have fully cooked the meat it is safe to reheat a curry that you made with the meat. You can reheat cooked meat as long as you have cooked it correctly and stored it properly.

Never store raw meat above ready-to-eat items, since dripping meat juices could contaminate food that will not be cooked before consumption. The bottom drawer is usually the ideal place to store raw meat.
As long as there's no meat mixed in with it, it should keep for up to a week and a half in the fridge. It goes dry the longer you keep it in there, though.
Cooked buffalo meat should be good for 3 to 4 days refrigerated.
Raw meat should be refrigerated as soon as possible. It shouldn't be out of the cold for over an hour or so. Cooked meat should be removed from the bone and refrigerated within two hours.
It is safe to keep cooked turkey meatloaf out of the refrigerator for a short period of time. It shouldn't stay out longer than an hour.
