How long did claude monet study art for?In: Arts and Crafts |
Answer
He entered the Le Havre school of arts when he was eleven years old, but had apparently been painting since he was at least 5.
He continued his studies at least through 1870, when he was forced to take refuge in England to escape the war (he had already served a stint in the French cavalry). Some of his best known works were painted between 1873 - 1878, so were might assume that he was no longer formally studying.
However, as with most artists, Monet continued to consult with other artists, learn/develop new techniques with brush, and color.
