How long did it take Martin Luther to write the German Bible?

Since this question was originally put in the section for Martin Luther King Jr. I assume the person who put it there didn't know the difference between him and Martin Luther. Martin Luther King Jr. was an African-American man who lived in the United States from January 15, 1929-April 4, 1968, who spoke against prejudice. Martin Luther was a German monk who lived from November 10, 1483 - February 18, 1546, who began what is known as the Reformation. Martin Luther wrote the German Bible. It took him from 1521 (exact date unknown) to September of 1522 to finish the New Testament. The Old Testament was completed in 1534. For more information see the link below.
