It took them 2 weeks .......I think it was actually more like five (from Sept. 1st to Oct. the 6th) sorry. I think it is a fact that the vastly outdated polish cavalry were destroyed in a week and the campaign's back was broken in a fortnight. it was five weeks until Poland came completely under German and Soviet control however. Sorry.
Germany did not defeat France in the First World War, however you are probably thinking of the Second World War. That war in Europe began on September 1, 1939. The Germans invaded France, Belgium, Netherlands & Luxemburg on May 10, 1940. The French were defeated and signed an armistice on June 22, 1940 (after less than two months of combat).
It took the German army 5 days to conquer the Netherlands. Nazi Germany invaded the Netherlands in May 10th, 1940 and the Dutch government surrendered May 15th 1940 after the German air force bombed the civilian population of Rotterdam. Note that this only resulted of the surrender of Dutch forces in the Netherlands. The remained of the Dutch army, would fight alongside the allies for the remainder of the war.
Germany conquered the French army and drove their British Allies out of the country. They then forced the French to surrender. Most of the country was occupied by the German Army the rest of the country was a puppet of Germany called Vichy France.
The attack began on 10 May 1940 and ended on 22 June 1940. Call it six weeks at best.

After Germany's occupation of Poland, they occupied portions of France beginning in 1940 until the end of the war in 1944!
Do you mean what countries that took part in the Holocaust were not taken over by Hitler? Because obviously he did not take over any country in the Americas, nor most of the world.
you have countries such as Slovakia and Bulgaria, but if they had governments that Hitler did not approve of or were uncooperative, then they would have been taken over.
he started trying to take over other countries in Europe, thinking that he could conquer and rule the world. then other countries like the U.S. started defending the countries being taken over by the Nazi's
Poland, Czechoslovakia, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Denmark and Norway.
At the end of World War 2, when Hitler was over ruled. Soldiers from other countries would come and release the people.

Adolf Hitler went to war with other countries mostly because of Religious differences. Also maybe because they were poor and he thought he could take them over.
because he was drunk
