they live approximately 13-15 years of age.
I have never known a Jack Russell which has died before 12 human years, (apart from the ones who have died of illness). My mother's old Jack Russell lived to 22 human years, so they live to very old.
We have a Welshie/Jack Russell mix who is 15 and going strong, despite spending the first seven years of her life churning out pups in a notorious puppy mill. Aside from a few stray white hairs, she can still pass for half her age. She runs like a gazelle, dances, etc. Long may she continue in good health. Nothing is written in stone when it comes to dogs' longevity, especially terriers.
No because a jack Russell terriers has hair. When hair sheds, it will float, unlike fur. Hair is on long haired dogs like pomerainians and jack russells. Fur is on short haired dogs like rat terriers and bull dogs. Fur will collect in the carpet and cause dander and allergy problems.
