Cows spend about 1/3 of their day eating, 1/3 sleeping, and 1/3 "goofing-off". They don't necessarily do all their sleeping at one stretch, but those naps add-up.
Cows sleep lying with their front feet folded under and their back legs tucked under them, but so that either the left or right hip is resting on the ground (which ever side they prefer to lay on)....

Depends on how old you are. Adults around 7-8 hours/night. Teens usually a lot more since they are growing. But they usually feel that and sleep a lot. When ppl get old...
