How long does drugs stay in your hair?

Or sometimes it is used as a confirmatory testing after getting positive result in urine testing. Procedure of hair follicle testing is very simple. You just need to submit 1.5 inch hair strands. Usually, hair grows at the rate of 0.5 inch/ day. That means 1.5 inch long hair strand depicts drug history of last three months. You might think that to beat the drug test with hair screening is quite difficult. Yes, because in hair drug testing you need to submit minimum 70-80 hair strands each with 1.5 inch long. If you fail to submit hair strands from the scalp, then hair from other body parts are also quite acceptable.

Well, it depends what type of drugs you're taking. I personally use a variety of drugs but the smell comes out within a few days of washing. I would say around 2-3. Ice will take longer to get out though as the chemicals in it are much harsher when they react with the follicles of hair.

Cutting the hair does not work. The hair that is used is the hair closest to the body and can be taken from any part, not just your head, so cutting has no relevance. All illicit or prescription drugs taken without prescription, can be detected for approximately 90 days. This is a very reliable test. It can also be used to your benefit if you tested positive for a drug during a urine test, but have not taken any drugs.

It generally takes about 7 days to make it's way through your system and up into your hair follicle. Once it's in there, it is there until you cut it out.
