Re: Acid does not stay in your spinal fluid. This is an urban legend. In reality, it is quickly metabolized and gone from the body in a few days. Regardless, it is not tested for in any standard drug test.

If you're reading this article because your wondering if someone is back on drugs, keep this in mind. If a recovering addict is now getting back into shape and they exhibit physical signs of drug use they may have released some stored drugs when they burned off some fat. This is not usually the case; statistically they probably are back on drugs but at least this give a shadow of a doubt if you will. Acid DOES NOT QUICKLY LEAVE YOUR BODY. It can hide in your fat cells for a long time. This goes for PCP, LSD, and Meth.
