This is why people generally buy them for there ponds. These fish have a lifespan of about 60 years so you can start them off in a smaller tank and buy a bigger one in the future. It may however just be better to start off with a large aquarium so you don't spend a bunch of money buying bigger and bigger aquariums until you have a 75 gallon.
