usually within 48 hours but if the blood is brown then it could be a few days old, if you are pregnant its best to let your midwife know, its doesnt mean theres something wrong with the baby, goodluck

∙ 14y agoDepends on the type and duration of bleeding taking place.
If it is heavy persistent bleeding of any sort then no, it is not normal and you should get checked out straight away, as that can indicate an imminent miscarriage, or separation of the placenta from the wall of the uterus. Also bright red bleeding of any sort is not good either.
If it is only one or two spots of brownish-pinkish type blood, i might just be old period blood that has been laying around up there which has actually been dislodged by the exam.

∙ 13y agoSpotting can happen at anytime during pregnancy, while it is not normal neither is it always a sign of serious problems - but it should always be reported to your doctor or midwife for evaluation.

∙ 11y agoYou should not bleed during pregnancy unless you are having a miscarage or you have just started your period at the very early stage of being pregnant, like 4weeks. If you are bleeding or spotting call your family doctor or obgyn doctor and set up an appointment asap!
