Put it in a oven

for about 375 degrees for about 40 minutes. When you cut into a piece if it isn't pink then its done. Also I cover it with a lid or foil when it's cooking to keep most of the juices in it.

The usual is about 20 minutes per pound, but it depends on how much heat you are using. The last one I cooked was a 5.5lb chicken on a charcoal grill and it took about 2 hours. The temperature needs to be between 170 and 180 degrees F taken from the thickest part of the thigh without touching the bone.

20 minutes per pound usually. The temp needs to be between 170 and 180 taken at the thickest part of the thigh without touching the bone.
