Pet rabbits live an average life of 8-12 years. This is true of butterflies and all pet rabbits. The only difference breed makes is larger breeds tend to live slightly shorter lives than smaller breeds.
The better you take care of your rabbit, the better chance it will live a long, happy, and healthy life. See the related question below for more info and helpful links.
All pet rabbit breeds have about the same lifespan, although smaller ones do tend to live longer than bigger ones. The checkered coat doesn't affect lifespan at all. Pet rabbits usually live between 8-10 years, although they can live longer, up to 13, even 14 years (although this is unusual).
Rollback.

5 to 10 years
Rabbits can live outside. Most do.
Rabbits can live a very long time, up to 10 or 15 years. Wild rabbits, however, live a short amount of time, such as 5 years or so. If you are not looking to keep a domestic rabbit that long, consider getting an older rabbit, one that probably already has an easy-to-follow daily regimen and won't live that long. Never, ever, hold a wild rabbit captive, as they probably will only live for about 48 hours at most.
the average weight and height of a rabbit is 16 in and 6 lbs average.
