How long does a cat remember things?

No, their memories aren't nearly that long. I used to have 2 kittens who were reunited with their own littermate after a month apart--they had no idea she was family. Territory warfare almost broke out, just the way it does between cats who are total strangers.

I've even heard it suggested that cats have no concept of individuals, only situations. Your cat knows the person who fills her food bowl, the one she sleeps with at night, and the one who chases her off the kitchen table, but she can't understand that all those people are the same. So she might have completely different reactions to you based on where you are and what time it is. I don't know if this is true (it seems to explain some of the cats I've had but not others). Still, if that's really all the knowledge a cat needs about an individual, then 1) they never really knew you to begin with and 2) their memories of people only need to last as long as their routine stays the same.

Normally, cats will usually not remember things for very long of a time. If you did something to harm the cat, they may remember it for a longer period of time.

Does a bearded dragon remember things a lot?

Yes they do! A bearded dragon will remember who feeds them the most and holds them the most. If I were to give my bearded dragon to a stranger and walk out of the room that beardie would come looking for me if it could, they get very agitated if they can't see their owner. Many beardies have been known to get sick when left with strangers over a long period of time because they will not eat.
