A misdemeanor charge will still on you criminal history record forever, regardless of whether a conviction exists or not. Criminal Histories are generally not of "public" record. Missouri Case Net shows court actions on individuals and is searchable by name, county, etc.

The short answer is "Forever." Now the details - it depends. It depends on

The age at which charges were filed

The nature of charge

The nature of the conviction

The nature of the victim

State statutes

Was there a motion or file to expunge

Etc. Having said all that, even if the record was expunged, it doesn't always mean that the record has disappeared.
