Best Answer

in usual height is anything from 12-20 feet. In general, pruning shortens the height considerably, and you would aim for about 15-18 feet for a average sized tree. The method of pruning, whether to a vase shape or a central leader, can also determine the height. Central leader trees are taller but narrower, and the more traditional vase-shaped trees are shorter and wider. Some varieties are now available that are grown on dwarfing rootstock, and they will only reach 6-8 feet in height.

IN ADDITION:From 15-25 feet tall but this will kill the plant. The pear tree produces more fruit than the limbs will support. The best thing to do is keep it trimmed from 6-8 feet tall and this will keep it from splitting down the center from the weight.

did you but a grafted one from a nursery? if you did it should be 1-2 years old and will start producing fruit in 1-2 years, with luck it will then live for a good 80-100 years and still produse good fruit.
