My sister was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer that had spread to her liver. The tumors in her liver were too numerous to count. That was Feb 4 of 2008. She had an amazing outlook and we never doubted that she would beat the disease. However, we were wrong. She passed away on July 27th 2008. Less than 6 months later. I hope that one day no one will die of cancer.

Unfortunately, if liver cancer is found in the final stages it might be hard to fix especially if it has become metastatic.

A liver transplant is usually the only way to survive.

Unfortunately, no one can answer that. Variables, the unknown, and the will of the patient (the biggest factor in my opinion!) keep that a mystery.

It's your life plan. Don't give in. Be your biggest advocate. Second, third opinions if you want. Know that you did everything. Let your family know that everything was done. But don't wear yourself out. It is your life, your body. You make the choices, not the cancer.

I've seen people live 6 years after they were diagnosed. Some enjoy remission. Some don't. But there is no rhyme of reason to it.
