If you are taking Adderall for ADHD or narcolepsy, when you first start taking it, you may start to feel its effects in about an hour. However, as you keep taking it, your brain will develop a tolerance to it which will cause its effect to continued to be delayed. If you are on it long enough, it may take 3 to 4 hours before it becomes effective and, indeed, it may not become effective for you at all until the second dose kicks in.

As soon as you start taking Adderall some of your symptoms should be relieved within the first hour or so, and usually when you start a new medication you increase your dosage by the week. You should see progress as the days pass. If you take this powerful stimulant the right way, and do your research, you should see improvement. If your symptoms are not helped by Adderall then you might want to talk to your doctor or psychologist about a different medication for ADD.

All depends on the dose. I switched from 20xr to regular 20s. i like it more because you get the peak of adderall exactly when you need it. I would give it 5 days of doing it in a row to get use to it.
