Cartilage piercings can remain sore and tender for up to 2 weeks. They take longer to heal than other piercings; the healing time for cartilage piercings is slow. For any swelling and/or discomfort, you can take some Ibuprofen; make sure you follow the directions on the bottle.

I got mine done about 3 months ago and it still hurts pretty bad. i can sleep on it but when i wake up in the morning my ear aches!!
